As of May 4, I’ve been to the gym 49 times this year so far. May not seem much, but this is most consistent I’ve ever been. All these YouTubers and social media coaches keep telling us “consistency is the key” and they’re not lying I’m sure. Lol
But I am far from where I want to be. Hell, I’m not lifting as much weight as I used to. I’ve given up on the idea of lifting heavy for the sake of …lifting heavy (or looking like I can lift heavy). At my age I have to be careful and avoid injury. So I’ve been concentrating on muscle contraction. The progress is slow. And I look like I’m forever “before” lol.
The thing is, I’m still trying to figure out what’s best for me, workout wise and nutrition wise. At the moment I’m on protein heavy diet. Calorie deficit didn’t work. Reducing the amount of food is just not the best option for me. Lol But I guess that’s what everyone is going through in their busy everyday life.
I just want to stay relatively healthy and well enough to take care of my partner and myself when we’re older, so we can enjoy life together.













Just keep at it, staying active is the key, least when you have a tasty treat you know you earned it 😉
